Description

Thorntree Country Club was built in 1983 by the Richard Mai Family and is conveniently located in DeSoto, just off of I-20 and I-35, literally minutes from Downtown Dallas. Nestled among thick trees, rolling hills and winding creeks is one of the most demanding courses in the Metroplex. The golf course, designed by Mark Mai in 1983, is home to over 350 golfing members. For five years, it played host to the Byron Nelson qualifying tournament, PGA Tour stage qualifying and sectional qualifying for the Texas State Open.

Rated as one of the toughest courses in the Dallas/Forth Worth area by the Dallas Business Journal, this challenging golf course offers you flawless fairways and beautifully manicured Champions Bermuda greens on which to test and improve your skills time and again. Thorntree Country Club’s 18-hole golf course provides an inspirational golf experience for players of all ages and abilities.

Amenities

When not on the links, you’ll enjoy premier amenities such as six lighted tennis courts, a Junior Olympic-size swimming pool, a full-service restaurant with both formal and casual dining, a Mixed Grill and men’s and ladies locker rooms. If entertaining clients is a priority for you, we also offer a private meeting room that can hold up to 12 people and a semi private meeting area with a capacity of 30 people.

Thorntree boasts one of the best private club practice facilities in the area which includes a large range, two putting greens, chipping clock and sand area. PGA Head Golf Professional Steve Brown and his staff are available for private instruction, group lessons or children's clinics.

The men's & ladies locker room features full size lockers, showers and separate card rooms.
