Description

Bear Lakes Country Club, located in the heart of West Palm Beach, Florida, was established in 1984 and features two championship courses designed by Jack Nicklaus.

The Lakes Course, which opened originally in 1984, was renovated by Nicklaus in 2003. The redesigned Lakes Course, featuring the latest in turf technology combined with exciting architechural changes and the addition of 800 trees, offers a new chanllenge and visibly pleasing round of golf, with many shots contained over vast expanses of water.

The Links Course is designed as a tribute to Scottish golfing tradition, with its grass bunkers, pot bunkers and narrow fairways complemented by native plantings. From the elevated green on the twelfth hole, to the two-tiered fairways on the fifteenth, the Links captures the special character of Scottish courses.

The two Bear Lakes golf courses offer a uniquely enjoyable experience with the combination of traditional South Florida Golf and the rolling greens of Scotland.

Bear Lakes has played host to both Florida State Men’s and Women’s Amateur, sectional qualifying for the U.S. Open for both men and women as well as the 1995 and 2001 PGA Tour Qualifying Finals.

Bear Lakes offers tennis enthusiasts a beautiful facility with well-maintained courts and an exciting Club program. Eight courts, six of which are HarTru, stand ready for play. The clubs six HarTru courts are also lighted for night matches. Separate men’s and ladies’ dressing facilities with showers make it easy to enjoy a quick game at any time.

A knowledgeable pro shop staff provides unsurpassed member services and an active tournament schedule to challenge every player. Nearby, a heated swimming pool creates a relaxing retreat with snack bar service provided.

The magnificent Bear Lakes clubhouse is the perfect spot to unwind after a challenging round of golf or tennis. Boasting panoramic views of the ninth and eighteenth greens, the Club includes a casual grill room and main dining area with exquisite cuisine. Pecky cypress woodwork, a coral fireplace mantle and other ornate details create an elegant atmosphere.

Designed to give members a gracious setting for entertaining friends, the clubhouse hosts a variety of special events and activities each year. Centrally located near I-95 and the business district, it is an ideal spot for business lunches and private meetings.
