Description

Hayfields Country Club was officially opened in the Summer of 1998. The golf course was designed by Ault, Clark, & Associates, Ltd. whose credits include TPC-Avenel, Kingsmill, Turf Valley Resort, and Hunt Valley Country Club. The championship golf course stretched over 7,000 yards and includes four sets of tees and features bent grass throughout. The panoramic tract includes six large ponds, 68 white sand bunkers, and multiple tees and greens surrounded by local quarry stone walls. The charming historic campus includes the famed Hayfields mansion and five additional historic buildings, predating the year 1800. The restoration of the buildings return the members and guests to a period reminiscent of the genteel, country lifestyle associated with the history of Northern Baltimore County. The location of the expansive Driving Range with grass and matted tee boxes, serves to maximize the scenic views of Oregon Ridge and the golf course as it meanders westerly along Shawan Road.
